Clint Culpepper is the new campus minister at Auburn University’s Baptist Campus Ministries.
Culpepper previously served both on a campus and in local churches in Georgia. He served as pastor of Harvest Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia, and before that as family pastor of First Baptist Church Social Circle in Georgia.
He has a master of divinity and master of theological studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia. He and his wife, Jessica, have been married for 10 years and have three children — Renee, Everly and Bennett.
“We are thrilled to announce that Alabama Baptists have called Clint Culpepper to be a new campus minister at the Auburn BCM,” BCM Link posted on its Facebook page Feb. 14. “He’s passionate about reaching students for Christ, discipling them to follow Jesus closely and sending students to the nations with the good news of Jesus.”
Ben Edfeldt, who serves as the Director of the office of collegiate and student ministries with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, added, “Auburn University and Auburn BCM have a rich history of developing leaders and missionaries. Alabama Baptists are looking forward to a bright future at AU BCM as we seek to see the lost saved, the saved discipled, and the discipled sent at Auburn University.
“Clint Culpepper has demonstrated a clear passion for reaching university students along with training student leaders to leverage their lives on campus for the glory of the Lord. He has made sacrifices and ministry changes in order to reach more students,” Edfeldt said. “He and his student leaders at his previous campus ministry shared the gospel with over 30% of their campus and have seen dozens of students start a relationship with Jesus in the last few years. His experience serving in a local church will serve him well as he represents Alabama Baptists and the wonderful churches in the Tuskegee-Lee Baptist Association. He’ll instill the value of the local church as he disciples his students.”
