I send this to thank you and congratulate you for publishing the article “Before you click, do you check the facts?” in your Nov. 12 issue.
It is one of the best I have ever read in The Alabama Baptist and, indeed, one of the best I have read in any newspaper. I hope Alabama Baptists will take it to heart.
The professors quoted in the article are right on target regarding this problem.
We just have too many Baptists, as well as people of other faiths, who will believe anything that jibes with their political, religious and social prejudices. And for some reason, they have a burning desire to share it.
I trust that this terrific article will cause some of your readers who might be prone to forwarding questionable material to check it out first.
