Thirteen-year-old Marshall Eads felt the need to go on a missions trip with his church — just when his baseball team was getting ready to go to the Dizzy Dean World Series in Moody.

Marshall’s coach let him go. Still “it was hard for him to leave practice at that time. But baseball is seasonal; missions is not,” said Tim Eads, Marshall’s dad.

So just before the big tournament, Marshall went with a group from Coker Baptist Church to Church of the Nazarene in Robertsdale to paint, cut trees and shrubbery and pressure wash and repaint the parking lot. The next weekend, he returned to play with his team, which won the tournament.

Q: How did you come to know the Lord?
