I am dismayed and disappointed that some of my fellow Christians so readily condemned Dr. Cecil Taylor for an error that was not his! (See July 12 issue, page 3.)
Why did they not contact Dr. Taylor for an explanation? Jesus told us not to judge or we would be judged in the same way. I hope that those who signed the petition will send Dr. Taylor another petition asking his forgiveness.
The “Explore the Bible” commentary by Dr. Taylor has been a blessing to me. He is well qualified to teach in any Baptist college and I sincerely hope that he will continue to write for The Alabama Baptist.
I am in the process of moving from Alabama to Kentucky but I will continue to get The Alabama Baptist. Thank you for this publication.
