Ethridge David Horsley, who served as a pastor until he was 85 years old, died June 13. He was 94.
Horsley was born in Cullman and graduated from Howard College in Birmingham (now Samford University).
Horsley served in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946.
Ordained in 1957, Horsley became the pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, Centreville, and served there until 1959. He also served as pastor of other churches, including First Baptist Church, Cleveland; Rose Hill Baptist Church, Birmingham; and Lake Highland Baptist Church, Birmingham.
He was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church, Birmingham, at the time of his passing.
Horsley is survived by his wife, Willie Ruth; three children; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
