The children at First Baptist Church, Cullman, in West Cullman Baptist Association didn’t leave giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) for International Missions up to their parents this year — they did it all by themselves.
The children raised money for the LMCO by holding a missions fair Dec. 13, complete with cupcakes, cookies, bookmarks, crafts, Christmas ornaments, jewelry and much more. They opened the fair to the adults to shop in at the conclusion of the morning service.
“(The) children were proud and excited to sell something they had made, but they were more excited to hear the total they had collected to give to the annual offering — $415,” said Joey Orr, children’s minister at First, Cullman.
