Even the warm weather took members of First Baptist Church, Hazel Green, back in time at the church’s 50th anniversary Sept. 25 as they fanned themselves with the program printed on an old-fashioned fan.
Former pastor Bobby Eads was the guest speaker for the day at the Madison Baptist Association church, and a video featured charter members Louis and Violet Shockey and new members Samantha and Mike Magrone.
Jerry Armor, an Alabama Baptist Historical Commission representative, presented the church with a certificate and the church choir provided special music.
