A Girls in Action group at First Baptist Church Selma turned into tiny baristas recently to raise money for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
With their “Latte Moon” coffee cart, they served coffee and breakfast treats to Sunday School classes for three weeks in a row, accepting donations for the missions offering in return.
They were able to raise $2,300.

Pastor Tim Mathis said their efforts fit right in with the church’s desire in recent years to get reengaged with missions work around the world.
“They worked hard and had a blast,” Mathis said. “It was a great opportunity for them to serve, and the classes loved seeing them come around. They’re hoping our girls will continue to have the opportunity to do something like this on a more regular basis.”
