The University of Mobile welcomed Rick Lance, executive director of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, to the Wednesday (Sept. 11) chapel service.
The university’s student-led Worship Collective ensemble opened the hour-long service with praise and prayer as more than 500 students, faculty and staff gathered in Ram Hall for the weekly event.
‘Always there’
Sharing from Luke 12:32, Lance said, “You have an eternally heavenly Father who loves you unconditionally and will always be there for you, no matter what life throws your way.”
Describing three pictures of God as illustrated by Scripture, Lance said:
“Our God is the Shepherd who protects His flock.
“Our God is the Father who provides for His children.
“Our God is the King who gives power to His citizens.
“We are citizens of THE eternal kingdom,” he added. “And that makes all the difference in the world.”
