The 2023 Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference, set for Nov. 13 at Taylor Road Baptist Church in Montgomery, will feature a variety of connection points for pastors and ministry leaders and meals too — if you register by Oct. 27.
The Pastors Conference begins with a box lunch at 11:30 a.m. featuring a performance by Voices of Mobile. Dinner also will be served. Both meals require advanced registration.
Sessions begin at 12:45 p.m. (See a full schedule here.)
Speakers include:
- Jared Wilson, lay pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and assistant professor of pastoral ministry and author in residence at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
- Ed Litton, pastor of Redemption Church in Mobile. He is a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and church planter.
- Matt Mason, pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham.
- H.B. Charles Jr., pastor of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition to encouraging times of worship and preaching, attendees will have opportunities to visit the exhibit hall and engage with organizations that provide information pastors and churches need. The exhibit hall and program are a partnership between The Alabama Baptist and the Pastors Conference.
“A number of vendors will be in the exhibit hall to connect with church leaders with resources such as bus, steeple and audiovisual services, building needs and seminary studies,” said Jessica Ingram, who coordinates special projects for TAB, including the Pastors Conference program and exhibit hall.
The partnership allows PC leaders to focus on making the conference the best it can be and engaging well with those in attendance while TAB takes care of vendors and advertisers, Ingram said.
Fellowship, information
TAB also sponsors the coffee station inside the exhibit hall, which helps create a welcoming place for attendees to fellowship during the event.
Pastors Conference leaders change each year, Ingram added, so TAB provides some organizational consistency while also allowing each new president to bring his own ideas and inspiration to the conference.
“It’s a beneficial partnership,” Ingram said, “and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at Taylor Road!”
