Thanks to the many of you who have prayed for us throughout this hurricane season. Many of you have written asking how we are, and we are so thankful for your concern. We are doing fine. We are so thankful that the hurricanes have bypassed Santo Domingo.
Some parts of the Dominican Republic were affected by Hurricane Jeanne, but the country as a whole experienced very little damage.
We had a good summer with our volunteer teams and summer missionaries. They all worked hard in Don Gregorio, where our new church start is located.
The church here is called Iglesia Bautista Evangelica (Evangelical Baptist Church).
It is so neat for us to see how God has been working in this neighborhood long before we ever arrived.
We ask you to join us in prayer for the leaders of this new church. Pray for Melvin, as pastor and trainer of leaders, for Edward as he leads worship each Sunday and for Maria, Milagros and Coralia as they lead in areas of prayer, finance and Bible study
Thanks so much for your prayers for the five Dominican young men from Cristo Viene Church who went to First Baptist Church, Piedmont, Ala. this summer on a missions trip.
They had an incredible, life-changing experience.
