Thomas “Tommy” Harrison, native of Lamar County, died recently in Waverly, Ga., as a result of an accident. Harrison was the pastor of Old Shiloh Church, Shiloh, Ga., at the time of his death, but had served as pastor of many Alabama churches.
Among these are Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, Sulligent; New Ebenezer Baptist Church, Elba; Shorterville Baptist Church; Manchester Baptist Church, Jasper; and Kinsey Baptist Church. Among Alabama Baptist churches Harrison serves as interim pastor at Pleasant Valley, Attalla; Pleasant Hills, Slocomb; and Pleasant Plains, Headland. He is survived by his mother, Nettie V. Harrison of Sulligent; his wife, Linda Swain Harrison; two siblings; two children and their spouses and three grandchildren.
