Homosexuality

Because of what is happening in our society, in some political arenas and some Christian denominations who are accepting homosexuality as a legitimate lifestyle, I ask the question, “Can a homosexual who becomes a Christian remain a homosexual?” The Bible, God’s Word, says “No!” God said in Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” Paul said in Romans that “God gave them up to uncleanness, vile passions and over to a debased mind who in lust dishonored their bodies among themselves.”

God classified this with other sins and declared that those who practice such things are deserving of death. The word “debase” could also be translated “reprobate,” “depraved” or “perverted.” This means that the homosexual has exchanged the truth of God for a lie and is living a corrupt and immoral life.

This text states those who approve of those who practice the sins stated will also receive the righteous judgment of God. Because of what God says we Christians cannot support any people who favor and legitimize homosexuality. We must stand on God’s Word, love all, declare His truth to them, pray for them to be born again and hope our nation will wake up and return to God.
