Illegal immigrants

I would like to say a hearty “amen” to Ms. Selman’s letter in the Aug. 4, 2011, edition of The Alabama Baptist. If we can’t enforce the law in the case of illegal immigrants, why enforce any law — tax laws, laws against murder, rape, theft, etc.?

If the pastors, bishops, et al. are so enamored with having these immigrants in this country, then let the pastors and bishops support them out of their pockets, not the taxpayers’ dime, and in addition to this, present the government of Mexico with an invoice for services rendered to its citizens.
