In response to the news article regarding contact information for International Mission Board trustees, I am happy to provide you with that information for myself. Since November, I have received a large number of e-mails, letters and calls regarding the new policies and the Wade Burleson issue. Obviously large numbers have secured my contact information, and I have appreciated each contact.
I believe it is important for trustees to hear the ideas and opinions of fellow Southern Baptists, and many have expressed themselves on these issues. I have spoken in several churches and to the pastors conference in my association and have spoken to every person who has contacted me by phone. I will continue to listen to all who
The Alabama Baptist has on several occasions published information regarding trustees. When the IMB met in Birmingham in January 2002, the paper ran an article which included both the names and a picture of the trustees from our state. In addition, information regarding trustees from every entity is printed in the paper at the time of their election.
