On Aug. 13, Shiloh Baptist Church, Leesburg (Cherokee Association) will be celebrating 100 years as a Southern Baptist church. Our records are somewhat incomplete for the first 25 years. We have not been able to determine in what month our church was organized nor what brought about its formation. We have little information as to whom were the first leaders and members. In order for our historical committee to complete the church history, we need this and any other material from the early years.
If anyone has information about the beginning of our church, pictures of the original building or charter members or any other information related to this occasion, we would be most grateful to receive it.
