I do not understand why the various Christian denominations in Alabama have not taken a concerted effort to support our governor’s stand against illegal gambling activities that exist at several locations in the state.
It appears all churches are guilty of being lukewarm on this issue.
In order to keep readers updated, The Alabama Baptist newspaper gives weekly accounts of ongoing electronic bingo activities throughout the state.
But I have yet to see where any serious effort has been taken by any church to support Gov. Riley’s determination to do the right thing by upholding the provision of our state’s constitution, which prohibits gambling anywhere in Alabama.
