‘Meet my needs’

‘Meet my needs’

Churches today do not want to hear the truth as set forth in God’s Word; they want someone to make them feel good about themselves. “Meet my needs” is the cry from the church congregations today.

Anointed preaching today is not welcome in most of the churches. In most of our churches today, the congregations will not allow Bible-based discipline; instead they have the attitude “let it alone so we can just get along.”

Most churches today do not want the convicting power of the Holy Ghost in the midst of their services because it makes them uncomfortable, for when He comes He exposes their sinful living.

Most churches do not want a pastor who will preach boldly, loudly or lengthy; they want a wimp of a man who will cater to their every whim.

I hope that congregations of today will wake up and realize the awful condition that they are in. Churches today are overflowing with apathy, complacency and ungodliness. They have lost their influence and have no strong witness of holiness. If the church will only repent and turn back to the faith first delivered to the saints. If they would come back to their first love, the Lord Jesus Christ, and His Word; forgive one another; and learn to love each other as our heavenly Father loves us. Then we will see God do glorious things in our churches. If we refuse, it will only get worse.
