Mike Bell is the new pastor of New Faith Church, Pleasant Grove. He previously served as pastor of Liberty Church, Brookwood. He also served as a bivocational pastor for 42 years, evangelism director for Pleasant Grove Association and served in nursing home ministry and radio ministry. Bell holds a bachelor’s degree from Jimmy Swaggart Bible College and Seminary in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He and his wife, Theresa, have three children and two grandchildren.
The Senate Finance and Taxation Education Committee on Wednesday (April 1) approved the FY27 $12.4 billion Education Trust Fund budget package, adding a one-time bonus for education retirees equal to $1 per month for each year of service.
