The Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions (SBOM) will host three minister tax conferences around the state to provide the latest updates on tax changes affecting ministers, staff and churches.
Conferences will be held Feb. 8 at Gardendale First Baptist Church; Feb. 15 at First Baptist Church, Decatur; and Feb. 22 at First Baptist Church, North Mobile, in Saraland. They will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.
Lee Wright, coordinator of the SBOM’s church compensation services, will conduct the conferences. He will discuss topics such as minister’s housing allowance, accountable reimbursements, tax savings techniques for ministers and the new health care law.
