We are excited to announce that our newest team member, Eileen, arrives on Oct. 24.

Pray for her and her family during this remaining time they have together. Pray for God’s calling to Japan to be so strong in Eileen’s life and for an excitement and enthusiasm to just prevail in her heart as she prepares to arrive and begin her two-year ministry with our team.

With October’s arrival comes the real push for any of you who have been sitting on the fence about whether or not you should come to Japan this December to help us out with the Santa project. We really need you.

We want to see Tokyo hit with gospel Santas and helpers sharing the true meaning of Christmas on the streets to the point that people will be changed forever because they have been- for the first time in their lives- told the true meaning of Christmas.

(We want to see) their lives changed because they have been introduced to the Christ of Christmas.

Won’t you please come and help us? There is not much time left, so make your decision now and let us know you are coming.

Japan

We’ve had some neat things happen that I want to tell you about.

Even though I haven’t been going to (minister on a college) campus this week, the ministry came to me. About 15 students came over Oct. 6 for Bible study.

Two of them were baptized. It was so great to see students take time during exam week to honor God.

Otherwise it has been a fairly laid back week for me. I’m catching up on some reading, and I want to keep spending time with God. I want to fall in love with Jesus all over again.

Pray for our upcoming retreat.

Pray that God will draw students there for a life-changing experience.

Pray that we can work through some on the schedule conflicts with the Far Eastern University students. Pray for us as we continue planning.

Pray for the Iranian Bible study. These students are also busy due to finals, and I haven’t seen most of them in a while.

Pray that I will redeem the time over this next month. Pray that I will keep the right balance of rest time and ministry time.
