A Cullman team of seven and the Dodges from El Paso recently arrived.
The Cullman team attended worship at Miaoli Baptist Church. After the Cullman team presented a plaque of congratulations from First Baptist Church, Cullman, to the Miaoli Baptist Church and watched the short video First, Cullman, had sent, everyone came to our house for the block party.
No one knew what to expect since this was a first for us. We had more than 40 for the fellowship meal. The neighbors brought in Chinese dishes such as stir-fried noodles and fish, and we furnished the hamburgers. After the meal the third- to sixth-grade English class sang for their parents. This was followed by a video in Hakka, which told the story of a Hakka family and their conversion to Christianity. We followed this more serious story with a Christian cartoon for the children. We felt God really blessed in the fellowship. Pray for continued contact with these families in our neighborhood.
The Cullman team spoke to about 800 elementary students. Some of the mothers who came to school to help the team move from class to class came to the English Bible study. The Dodges, from El Paso, went to a county high school and spoke to three classes. Then the Cullman team went to another high school and met with about 40 high school students for about two hours.
Monday, the team prepared more than 2,000 CDs and DVDs with response cards for distribution later this week. They also prepared several hundred gospel coloring books to be distributed in schools.
Four of the Cullman team participated in English Bible study groups in another city that is seeking to reach graduate students and young career adults. There were more than 40 in these groups. Each team member spoke of having good opportunities to talk about Christ and trusting in Him.
Please pray that God will guard the health of our team and provide many opportunities to share.

I wanted to let you know that Rachel heard back from YIS, and they have decided they really want to hire someone from either Australia or New Zealand, which unfortunately leaves her out of the job pool. But she and Tony both have a peace that it is not God’s will for them to come to Yokohama at this time. Thank you for praying for her and our family during these past weeks.
Kirie-chan continues to grow. She is sleeping about six hours during the night, most nights, which helps this “old” foster Mom a lot. Please continue to pray for her family as they process the necessary paperwork.
We have our latest team member, Con, with us now. Please pray for him as he serves with us. We are excited to see how the Lord will use him and bless others through his ministry.
Thank you all again for your prayers, love and support.
