Notasulga First Baptist Church celebrated its 175th anniversary Oct. 5. The church history was presented by deacon Daryl Weldon, and Bill Cannon shared memories of his time as pastor. Special music was provided by the group We’re Still Here plus the praise team and youth and children’s choir. Pastor Andy Chamness accepted the commemorative plaque given to the church by Calvin Milford, a commissioner of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission. A meal was served following the service.
