NASHVILLE — Contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) Cooperative Program (CP) for November 2008 totaled $15,388,944.54 — 16.63 percent, or $3,069,155.86, below the $18,458,100.40 received in November 2007, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
Year-to-date contributions through the CP are 0.16 percent behind the same time frame in 2007. As of Nov. 30, the year-to-date total of $33,184,197.80 for CP missions is $53,789.36 below the $33,237,987.16 received at the same point in 2007.
For the SBC CP Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $33,184,197.80 is 96.79 percent of the $34,286,139.00 budgeted to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America. The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
