Several prayers have been answered since we moved to Guatemala to assume responsibilities as K’ekchi’ team leader:
God provided wisdom and strength for packing, crating, farewells to Belizean colleagues and friends and travel.
God answered with a quick adjustment to home schooling for Keeley, Brantley and their teacher/mom. He graciously sent two volunteer teachers who assisted with teaching responsibilities for three families in Coban.
God gives us opportunities on a daily basis to practice our K’ekchi’ and Spanish.
God abundantly blessed with people to assist.
On June 15, we began our stateside assignment. Please continue to pray:
For God’s Spirit to continue to draw the 500,000 K’ekchi’ (who have not yet heard the good news in their heart language) to Himself and to strengthen the bond between K’ekchi’ Baptists in Guatemala and Belize.
For God’s discernment and timing for the development and utilization of chronological Bible storying. This method of sharing God’s truth could be a dynamic tool for K’ekchi’ Baptists and their 14 missionaries to evangelize the large part of this people group which does not read.
For God’s provision for Keeley (14) and Brantley (11) for an appropriate school situation, good friends, positive church experiences, spiritual growth opportunities and to be witnesses to those He puts in their paths.
For God’s wisdom to direct our time in the United States for family, friends, rest and spiritual renewal. Jim will need wisdom to continue to be K’ekchi’ team leader.
For God’s plan for sharing His activity with His people (stateside churches), witnessing as we travel and for challenging people to personally be on mission with God.
