In response to Charles McFatter’s letter, I would like to ask some questions.
Has he or anyone else read the Old Testament? What about Jericho? Did not God tell Joshua what to do?
Did not the “children” of Israel kill everyone including the young and old? What about Job?
Did not God allow or let Satan do anything to Job except kill him?
What about the Pharaoh of Egypt? What about the Passover when God killed the firstborn of every family that didn’t have the blood on the door? What about the Book of Revelation?
Is not God going to destroy mankind then?
We want to overlook the fact that God is a God of punishment and picture Him as a loving Father only. When did God change?
Why are we told throughout the Bible to fear God? We don’t want to accept the fact that God is a powerful and demanding God?
America has slipped so far away from God and all Christians have let it that it is a surprise that we are still here as a great country. Do we need to wake up?
