Ozark Baptist Church celebrated its 175th anniversary Aug. 20. Worship was led by the church’s 829 band with former minister of music Bill Hix directing the congregation and choir. Additional special music included an offertory piano duet by Janet Johns, current pianist, and Laura Pride, former pianist.
Pastor Eric Fuller recognized former pastors and staff. Ron Heddle, a former pastor, was the guest speaker. During the service, Debbie Campbell of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission and TAB Media Group, presented a plaque to Fuller.
The celebration included displays, “parlor” fans, a special keepsake booklet and T-shirts worn by many of the church members, including Todd Ledford, deacon chair. A potluck luncheon was served following the service.
