The officers of the Pastors Conference planned one of the best conferences I have attended in many years. The program of music and preaching was very challenging and inspirational.
However, it disturbs me that it was also used to endorse their 1 deposit casino nz.com candidate for president of our state convention. The remarks made from the pulpit were very inappropriate, and no doubt, greatly influenced the election.
Please don’t misunderstand, I think our new president will do a good job. However, since there was a difference of less than 100 votes in the two candidates, it seems likely the results would have been different if the remarks had not been made during the Pastors Conference.
I have personally heard comments by pastors and others from several different areas of our state about how unfair this was to the other candidate.
I hope and pray that our officers for 2003 will not forget the real reason for the Pastors Conference, that is to encourage and inspire us through great music and preaching of God’s Word.
In spite of this, the conference was a blessing, and I am thankful for it.
