‘People have voted’

“Let the people vote,” they are shouting. I say, “The people have voted and now let our representatives do their job of governing.”

We, the people of the United Republic of America (United States of America), have voted. We elected our representatives to do what is ethically right based on their own conscious relationship with their Creator. They are to represent the people for the best of all, not special interest groups. If we are going to vote on this moral issue, why not all moral questions? Why not vote to change the law to legalize murder?

Gambling will do nothing positive for this state or any other state. It will bring us more poverty and lawlessness. This has already been proven.
