Jimmy Perkins, who grew up in Talladega, and his wife, Beverly, have been appointed by the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to serve in associational missions in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Perkins is associational missionary for Northeast Iowa Southern Baptist Association. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama, Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss.
Perkins has served at churches in Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee, including: Mount Sharon Baptist, Childersburg; Eastaboga Baptist, Eastaboga; Cherry Street Baptist, Attalla; and Temple Baptist in Memphis.
The Perkinses will serve on the missions field with their two children. (NAMB)
