Prayer for revival

I have been burdened and feel led by the Holy Spirit to pray for revival in our land. I sincerely ask you to join me in this special and important prayer. 

There are two Scriptures that I believe would help all of us as we pray.

Taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

I would hope that every pastor would preach four sermons using the four things mentioned that are so necessary in this prayer:

    • Humble ourselves.
    • Pray.
    • Seek His face.
    • Turn from their wicked ways.

The second Scripture is found in John 14:13–15, especially verse 14. 

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

I believe our Lord is prepared to send revival if we would simply follow the principles laid out in 2 Chronicles 7:14. 

I ask that you consider passing these Scriptures out to your people. Ask them to put them in places they will see every day (on mirrors, in the bathroom, on the stove, even on the steering wheel of the car). Then earnestly pray in Jesus’ name, asking for revival. 

The incredible promise our Lord gives prepares us to ask in His name and He will send revival and we ask by obeying and living by 2 Chronicles 7:14.
