I read and enjoy Bob Terry’s comments each week. I especially appreciated the comments on Romans 8:28. As a hospital chaplain, I see people every day who are struggling to find answers in the midst of chaos. Many of them have in the past received “simple” answers to complex problems such as that provided to you by another pastor.
Unlike you, though, they accept these comments as “gospel” and end up with a seriously distorted view of God’s grace and redemption. Thank you for sharing your experience. Congratulations on your marriage and on your new and powerful sense of God’s presence as Comforter in the midst of chaos.
May other find this strength during their own times of struggle and may we allow them the privilege of that struggle, where in their own time and in their own way they too will feel the presence of the Holy One.
