Ruhama Church, Dogtown, is hosting a Patriots’ Day motorcycle rally and memorial service Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m., to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11. A replica of the World Trade Center towers will be on display along with 2,977 miniature American flags — one for each person who perished that day. Sammy Gilbreath, director of the office of evangelism for the State Board of Missions, will speak. Veterans will be recognized during the posting of the colors by the Fort Payne JROTC. Several Christian motorcycle clubs will be represented. A cookout and ride through areas destroyed in DeKalb County by the April 27 tornado will follow the service. For information call 256-997-0142.
