Highlights from the first session of the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California:

• Many messengers spent a good part of the morning session at microphones proposing motions, suggesting amendments to resolutions and debating a request by the Credentials Committee for help clarifying how to assess church staff titles that include pastor in the name but the position is not the senior or lead pastor.
• The discussions will continue as soon as the afternoon session starts up.
• Also taking place during the morning session was a Sending Celebration for 52 new missionaries along with reports from the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board and GuideStone Financial Resources.
