Shocked

Shocked

I was shocked to learn that a famous Southern Baptist preacher claimed God had a motive in the terrorist attack. Then when asked about his statements, he first said he believed what he said was true. Then he claimed he was misquoted. Later he made excuses and apologized. The damage done was the same as telling young couples that its baby was born handicapped because of the sin in their lives.

The SBC has censored churches for accepting members of certain groups.

Our Baptist Faith and Message now tells local churches they cannot have women as pastors. We weed out seminary professors who refuse to sign the BFM as a creed. What is our protection from preachers who turn people off just as they are turning to God for love and comfort in times of crisis?
