Spotlight: Alabama missionaries

For Alabama Baptists the Christmas season would not be complete without participating in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. This time of year also finds many churches focusing on the native Alabamians who serve as international missionaries around the world.

To help celebrate the Lottie Moon season, The Alabama Baptist is providing a photo directory of International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries who have ties to Alabama. While the Week of Prayer for International Missions concludes this week, the state Baptist paper hopes this resource can be used as a prayer guide now and throughout the year.

The names and photos were provided by IMB personnel.

Several missionaries are not included due to security concerns. They either live or work in an area that puts them at risk for possible dangerous circumstances. Please pray for that group of Southern Baptist workers also.

The missionaries on the following pages are listed by country and region. A locator map is provided for each area. While the information was provided to The Alabama Baptist in November, names and locations do change frequently so some of the information could be slightly out-of-date.

Another way to use this resource is to select a missionary or missionary family to send an airmail subscription of The Alabama Baptist. This gift would ensure they receive their copy on a weekly basis. While a complimentary copy of the paper is already sent to each missionary, sometimes a two-to-three month delay is incurred because of shipping. For more information, call 1-800-803-5201. (TAB)
