Friendship Baptist Church, Springville, held its first Turkey Rodeo on April 15 as an evangelistic outreach in the St. Clair Baptist Association area. Sammy Gilbreath, director of the office of evangelism for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, was guest speaker and the event included door prizes and lunch. Three turkeys were harvested during the event by 18 hunters. First-place prize went to Terry Posey, of Odenville, pictured here. Roger White is pastor.
