The Southern Baptists of West Virginia would like to thank each volunteer from Alabama who answered the call for help as a response to the severe flooding that occurred in West Virginia July 8.

Hundreds of volunteers came to man four feeding units and to help flood victims clean out their homes.

Southern Baptists prepared approximately 200,000 hot meals that were served to flood victims by the Red Cross.

In addition to the feeding units, hundreds of volunteers have dedicated hours of labor to the cleanup effort. What a blessing it has been to be able to call upon our brothers and sisters in Christ in a time of need.

Volunteers will be needed for months to come to assist with recovery efforts. Please continue to pray for the victims and that God might be glorified and His Kingdom extended as result of Southern Baptist disaster relief effort.
