I want to thank you for your informative editorial concerning Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and the Southern Baptist Convention, which appeared in the Aug. 3 issue. As an active member of Women on Mission at our local church and being involved with other groups in the WMU, I have found that most of our church members and even members of our WMU are completely unaware of what has been going on over the past several years. I’m so thankful that you have brought this to everyone’s attention, and I pray that all will have a better understanding of some of the problems that we have. I am so grateful for being a part of WMU and for having a small part in helping to take the gospel to the “ends of the earth.”
