The three girls — ages 13, 14 and 17 — known as The Rubyz are Christian music’s answer to the uber-popular Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers. At least, that’s the easy way to put it, but such comparisons do them little justice. The Rubyz rock, and their self-titled debut is everything it’s supposed to be — poppy, fun, energetic and, most importantly, good. The record covers the Go-Go’s hit “We Got Da Beat” and Rihanna’s chart-topping “Umbrella,” but every other song sounds just as catchy.
