Think About Missions

My church, Canaan Baptist Church in Bessemer, has a missions council of which I am the chairman. As part of this council, I attended a missions summit last year and learned all about Alabama Baptists’ work in Michigan, Ukraine and Guatemala.

There are opportunities for everyone; some that might surprise you.

As I read about the projects needed, I found one that caught my eye — video production work. A Baptist association in Michigan needed a video produced for its 50th anniversary.

I inquired about the project and felt I could do what was needed. After completing the project, my wife, Brenda, and I delivered the finished product personally.

I wanted to share my experience because all of us have been gifted by God with skills to use for His glory, and I hope that others might be encouraged to become involved in the missions partnerships Alabama Baptists have with Michigan, Ukraine and Guatemala.
