How can Christian scholars read John 3:18 and 14:6 and question “the doctrine of salvation by faith in Jesus alone?” It must be that these scholars are “true thinkers” like the learned leaders (priests, scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, Sanhedrin) in the time of Jesus.
These “true thinkers” of today treat the Bible as a smorgasbord. As long as they are throwing out the doctrine of salvation, they might as well throw out the idea of a new covenant “superseding the other.” Well, since the new covenant means The New Testament — be done with it, too.
