The North American Mission Board has appointed two couples with Alabama ties to missions service.
Greg and Sara Rowe serve in special ministries in Jacksonville, Fla. The couple is working in health ministry and juvenile coordination. They are serving through the US/C-2 program that allows college graduates under 30 to serve two years in North American missions.
Sean and Reagan Thornton serve in church and community ministries in Waterbury, Conn. As US/C-2 missionaries, they are working with Waterbury Baptist Ministries, a Baptist center ministry in Waterbury.
A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Greg Rowe served as recreation supervisor at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Hoover, from 1997-1999.
Sara Rowe is a graduate of Samford University. A registered nurse, she served as a summer missionary through the Jacksonville Baptist Association in Florida in 1995 and 1996.
A native of Prattville, Sean Thornton is a graduate of Auburn University (AU).
In 1997, he served as a summer missionary in Hawaii, working with First Southern Baptist Church of Pearl Harbor. From 1997-1999, he served as music and youth director for Waverly Baptist Church, Waverly.
Reagan Thornton is a native of Gadsden and a graduate of AU. She also attended Jacksonville State University. From 1997-1999, she served as a childcare/youth worker at Waverly Baptist Church. (NAMB)
