University of Mobile (UMobile) President and first lady Mark and Marilyn Foley are displaying their artwork in an exhibit titled “Family Studio: Works by Mark and Marilyn Foley.” The exhibit is on display in Martin Hall Gallery through Feb. 28 on the university campus. A special artists’ talk will be held Feb.10 at 1:30 p.m. in Martin Hall. A reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. Admission is open to the public.
The exhibit displays Marilyn Foley’s ceramic work and paintings created over a three-year time span. Mark Foley, an avid metalsmith, is showing selected welded pieces.
Included in the display is a miniature model of the 12-foot cross now standing on the UMobile campus, originally designed by Mark Foley.
