On May 14, WMU will celebrate 133 years of commitment to missions. To commemorate that milestone, the WMU Foundation is calling on Southern Baptists to give to the Vision Fund, which supports the overall ministry of WMU.
The goal is to raise $31,000 in 31 days, May 14-June 13, through the Vision Fund. A few generous donors have offered to match up to $5,000 in contributions.
From now until May 31, each contributor who gives at least $31 to the Vision Fund will be entered to win a WorldCrafts Freedom Throw, handmade by the women of ConneXions in Kolkata, India, who are able to earn a fair wage with dignity.
“The WMU Vision Fund enables us to proclaim into the future: the mission matters most. We will continue to make disciples of Jesus who live on mission. Through WMU compassion ministries, leadership development, and missions discipleship, we will equip, empower and enable the next generation to take their place in God’s plan. National WMU has a Kingdom impact in every state and 39 countries. Our desire is that peoples of the earth would have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel,” said Sandy Wisdom-Martin, executive director/treasurer of WMU.
