The Jan. 18 issue of The Alabama Baptist carried an article titled “Carter, Clinton announce 2008 convocation designed to unite North American Baptists.” For The Alabama Baptist to publish an article reporting on “two of the world’s most famous Baptist laymen” — one who was just reported to have had a number of his staff personnel resign because his latest book is full of untruths and the other who was reported to have had an illicit sex affair in his White House office on Easter Sunday — is a slap in the face of all Southern Baptists.
