Training in ministry evangelism, inspirational preaching and music and times of fellowship will be emphasized during this year’s Young Adult Evangelism Conference, Sept. 13-14, at Shocco Springs Conference Center in Talladega.
“This event will help you learn how to make evangelism a priority in your church,” said Sammy Gilbreath, evangelism director at the State Board of missions. Music will be led by Ronnie McCarson, and the preacher for the event will be Charles Roesel, pastor of First Baptist Church, Leesburg, Fla.
The event will begin with a picnic dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and conclude with lunch at noon on Saturday.
Ministries discussed will include: sports (wild game, rodeo, equestrian, race track and bikers), care (clothes, food and substance abuse) and others (Christian Women’s Job Corps, Sav-A-Life, resort ministries, tutoring, Parents Day Out and English as a Second Language.)
