Southside Church, Decatur, staff change

Matt Brewer is the new minister of children and youth for Southside Church, Decatur. He previously served as minister of students for Lost Mountain Church, Powder Springs, Ga. He also is a captain/chaplain in the Georgia National Guard and will transfer to the Army Reserve. Brewer holds a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham, master of education from Tennessee State University in Nashville and master of divinity from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children. Ben Hayes is pastor.
