Blue Springs Baptist Church, located in the Florette community of Somerville, in Morgan Baptist Association, held a note-burning service Jan. 14, 2018, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Retired former pastor Ralph McCollum delivered the sermon during the service and a covered dish luncheon was held afterwards. The 172-year-old church paid the debt on the addition of space that includes a fellowship hall, office space and children’s area.
