In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers have logged thousands of hours doing chainsaw work, preparing meals, praying with homeowners and running shower and laundry units – and they’re still hard at work.
As Disaster Relief volunteers are making their way to areas hit hard by Hurricane Milton, many others — including Alabama Baptists — are continuing to respond actively to immense needs that Hurricane Helene left in its wake.
As of Oct. 7, 643 people had requested help with tree removal in Aiken County, South Carolina, in the wake of Hurricane Helene, and people are still pouring in with job requests. An ABDR team is also serving meals in Alma, Georgia.
